Your home projects are amazing! Definitely work you do yourself you appreciate more! Jeremy and (and Mom a little) finally closed in and painted our back bedroom. We stood around and scratched our heads waayyy too much and became over-perfectionists. It really looks great considering our skill levels. Two weeks ago(the day Jeremy left for Texas) a roofer and a hardwood floor installer started work here. The roof is done-looks great and because of water and mold damage help from our Insurance we also had lots of the plywood replaced and all of the insulation. The house is already much warmer. We still need the stairs to be done and then ALL of the icky wall to wall carpet is gone! The hardwood floor is actually tiger wood -an exotic from Africa. The roofer who also does some interior carpentry, is in the process of building a permanent closet into the front bedroom that will also house permanent access to the full bath's plumbing, which needs some repair. Unfortunately his crew has cause dosme damage he still has yet to repari so I will not be hiring him for any more work after he finishes this. This weekend mom(who has already come down here to help two weekends since we knew about Jer's new job) and I are going to start spiffing up the ceiling and walls in that bath -hopefully sheetrocking (thin)over two very bad wallpaper jobs and also some finish work in our laundry where we had to replace a large section of outside wall due to water damage af few years ago. It should be fun. I look forward to gaining some new skills and a sense of getting closer to renting this house out, thus my departure to Texas! I will forward you Jeremy's ride log trip down on his motorcycle........so that has been moved down. I think we will be starting a blog soon especially if Jeremy took some pictures on his way South as the beginning of our new adventure out of New England. I hope you have been reading your yahoo mail lately... Love, Cousin Deanne
Josie and Darrel are former arborial dwellers. We recently moved to the ground, to join the flightless birds of New Zealand, in Christchurch on the South Island.
